The first day of the trek will be
all about arriving in Kathmandu. One of the members from Roving Nepal Trek will
be at the airport to receive the guests and place them at their respective
hotels.
As we complete the early morning
breakfast, the day is filled with a city tour of Kathmandu. The Roving Nepal
Trek team will visit all the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Towards the end of
the day, we will take a flight to Pokhara.
Passing around the snow-capped
mountains like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri we will be flying for Jomsom. Upon
reaching Jomsom, the trek begins. We will trek towards Upper Mustang and reach
Kagbeni. It is a 3-hour trek.
A full-fledged day of trekking
begins today as we make movements towards Muktinath. One of the major
attractions of the Mustang region, Muktinath is famous amongst Buddhists and
Hindus. Khingar, Jharkot, Ranipauwa are major landmarks in reaching Muktinath.
We will spend the night at Muktinath.
As the Roving Nepal Trek team has
spent a beautiful evening in Muktinath the journey shifts towards Chusang. Ascending
gradually through Gyu La Pass with beautiful views of Tukuche, Annapurna,
Dhaulagiri, etc we will reach Chele at the end of the day.
Rolling hills, waterless terrains,
and beautiful canyons will be aiding the trek as we reach Samar village.
Annapurna Mountain is beautifully visible today. Trekking around Samar village
and descending the valley we reach Shyanbochen. Lastly, we will reach Geling
village at 3770m.
Get ready for an 8-hour trekking
day. After having an overnight rest at Geling we move slightly higher. The
trekking team will reach Mani Wall and slowly walk towards Charang. Charang is
majorly famous for its Tibetian culture.
The Roving Nepal Trek team will go
on an ascending journey towards Lo Gekar. A very famous Gompa is present in the
place. Continuing our journey towards the upper altitude we will reach Lo
Manthang at the end of the day. We will stay the night there.
The journey today will move very
slowly as well as explore the region. A hike of two hours will take us to
Namgyal Gompa. Slowly we will move towards Tingkhar and understand the local
culture. After 3 hours of hike, we will return back.
As we leave behind the beauty of Lo
Manthang, the journey moves towards descent. First, the journey will move
toward Ghami which is a 2 hour drive. Likewise, the trekking team takes a jeep from
Ghami to Jomsom. Slow and steady we drive through the Kaligandaki gorge
reaching Jomsom.
We will have another long drive around 5 hour and we will have Lunch break in Tatopani then explore hot spring
Another flight on the next day will
take you back to Kathmandu. It will be a 25 minutes flight which is an easy
ride. Upon reaching Kathmandu you can either rest or roam around the
city.
On the very last day, we will take
permission from the guests to depart from them. A member from Roving Nepal Trek
will drop you off at the airport as you broad the flight back home.
