Mr. Basu and his team(Mr Bishnu and Mr Keshab) made this an unforgettable trip. Mr Basu was the epitome of patience and understanding from well before our trip started with the customization of various itinerary options. We were welcomed and cared for like family members with our every need including an unexpected hiking shoe emergency being taken care of. As needed the team split up to support us with our different levels of stamina - even going back and forth on the path to ensure no one was left alone. The entire team is very jovial and chill - entertaining us all the while with Nepali music. We got to experience magnificent scenery, friendly locals, and tasty, authentic Nepali cuisine including a homemade meal by Mrs Basu. Mr Basu was always optimistic and able to suggest options if weather or landslides changed our plans. Our stays at teahouses had all of the comforts of home including WiFi, potable water, hot showers, and fresh homemade food even with occasional challenges with electricity. Mr Basu was very accommodating and supportive of my request to worship at a small Lord Shiva shrine on the path and made efforts to get me what I needed. Me Basu and Mr Bishnu took us sightseeing in Pokhara and Kathmandu even accommodating last-minute requests. Our trip send-off was an affectionate and traditional goodbye - we will definitely be remembering this trip for a long time to come.
I have an EBC trekking with Roving Nepal Trek. They are so nice and friendly. They are trustworthy and reliable. Since they help me arrange a free helicopter flight quickly when my flight to Lukla is canceled. My guide is Rabi, he is a funny guy. He always makes me happy on the trek. Besides, he is a caring person. He always asks me ‘Are you ok?’ through the trek. Also, he has a good knowledge of the mountains. He can always answer my question. I am having fun with him throughout the trek. And the view on the trek is just gorgeous. I am feeling good about Roving Nepal Trek. If I have Nepal trekking again, I would like to go with them again.
Bashu was my guide when I went to EBC back in February 2023. He did such a great job that I always said that if I came back to Nepal I would use him again. Fast forward to 2024 and I already had the urge to come back to Nepal and do the Annapurna Circuit. Of course, the first one I called was Bashu and his new company, Roving Nepal Treks. He did a fabulous job of laying out the options and making recommendations. Everything was explained thoroughly, and with his usual honesty and good humor. Although he was unavailable to be my guide for this trek, he made sure to provide one of the guides from his company whom he recommended highly. Dinesh was my guide for the Annapurna Circuit Trek and he did an amazing job. He always made sure that I was doing alright and went out of his way to make things easier. I never had to worry about anything. He thoroughly explained what we would be doing each day the night before and was ready to answer any questions I had. Never once did I feel like I was being pushed too hard, babied, or forced into doing something I didn't want to do. He let me trek at my own pace and only intervened if absolutely required and no more than was necessary. This helped me to enjoy my trek, knowing that all I had to worry about was completing each day's hike. I know many people say they would use someone or their company again in the future, but I did. So when I say I would use Bashu, his company, or Dinesh again (a third time), rest assured I mean it. You won't regret using this company should you decide to trek in Nepal one day. Can't recommend it more highly!
I went trekking to EBC with my friends this Jan, it was a tough journey because none of us had hiked at such a high altitude before, but our guide, Santosh from Roving Nepal Treks company took care of us well in the mountain. Unfortunately, one of our friends got hurt when going down from Tengboche. Basu and Santosh reacted so fast that they helped us to go back to Kathmandu to receive medical care. Thanks to them, we came back from EBC safely. If anyone wants to try trekking in Nepal, I am sure you will have a great time with them
