The maximum altitude on this trek is between 4600 m to 4800 m above sea level. Short Khopra Trek reaches until 3660 m only. 

Best Time to Trek Khopra Ridge 

Winter, spring, and autumn seasons are best times to trek Khopra ridge. Avoid monsoon season due to heavy rainfall, poor visibility, and muddy – slippery trail. If you are trekking in winter season, then put extra efforts while trekking to Khair Lake. Furthermore, Khopra Ridge can be dangerous when it is snowing heavily. Accommodation and Food on the Trail 

Basic tea houses and eateries are available in Khopra Ridge Trek. Lower elevation places have more options for food and lodging but Khopra may not have multiple options like in the Ghorepani Village during the Poon hill trek in Nepal. 

Permits Required for Khopra Ridge Trek 

Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is enough for this trek. You can get the permit from Kathmandu and Pokhara. It costs NRs. 3000 to foreigners and NRs. 1500 to SAARC citizens.
