Permits Required for EBC Trek with Lobuche Peak

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (Max Altitude: 1350m)

The first day of the ECB trek with Lobuche Peak is all about reaching the capital. As you arrive in Kathmandu, there will be a distinct member from Roving Nepal Trek who will receive you at the airport. Ultimately you will be placed at your hotel.

Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Max altitude: 1350m)

After arriving in Kathmandu the second day will be all about strolling around the city. Along with the last-minute trek preparation, we will visit religious and UNESCO world heritage sites.

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m/8699ft) Walking Distance - 8 km, Duration: 3 hours

As we spend two days in Kathmandu, the journey moves towards Lukla early on the 3rd day. It will be a 35-minute flight with the most beautiful views all around. After landing the trekking team treks to Phakding spending the night

Day 4 : Trek to Namche from Phakding (Max Altitude: 3440m) Duration: 6 hours

The first day when we will be trekking for 6 hours is on the 4th day. The team moves towards Namche Bazaar. Right around the banks of Dudh Koshi, we will reach Namche Bazaar crossing the forested trails.

Day 5 : Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (Max altitude: 3440m)

As the EBC trek with Lobuche Peak is tough you will need to have a good acclimatization strategy. The team of Roving Nepal Trek and the trekkers will be spending the day at Namche. We will visit Edmund Hilary's school and the library.

Day 6 : : Trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3867m) Duration: 5 hours

One of the important landmarks during the EBC trek with Lobuche Peak is the Tengboche monastery. We will start early morning after yoga classes. Leaving Namche we will follow the Imja River, the rhododendron forest, and lastly Tengboche. Tengboche monastery is famous here with massive cultural importance.

Day 7 : Trek to Dingboche from Tengboche (Max Altitude: 4410m) Duration: 5 hours

The trekkers from Roving Nepal Trek spent the last night at Tengboche. The next morning will come through the same river, rhodendron bushes reaching Pangboche. Crossing Somara and trekking for five hours will take you to Dingboche.

Day 8 : Acclimatization at Dingboche (Max Altitude: 4410m)

As the altitude keeps on increasing, acclimatization is a critical part when we talk about the EBC trek to Lobuche. As we spend a day at an altitude of 4260, adjusting to the higher altitude is important. Trekkers will hike to Nakarjung hills and surrounding peaks to get the feel of the place.

Day 9 : Trek to Lobuche from Dingboche (Max altitude: 4930m) Duration: 5 hours

Following the excellent views of the mountains, the journey moves towards Lobuche. We will pass through Thugla where we meet the Khumbu glacier. Following the Thugla ridge we will reach Lobuche at the end of 5 hours.

Day 10 : Trek to Gorakshep, reach EBC, and back to Gorakshep (Max Altitude: 5364m) Duration: 6 hours

On the 10th day of the trek, we will meet at the Everest Base Camp. Early in the morning, we climb over a few glaciers to reach Gorakshep. Following the path closer to Khumbu Glacier we reach Everest Base Camp. It is important to return to Gorakshep as there is no place to stay at EBC.

Day 11 : Hike to Kalapatthar and trek to Lobuche Base Camp (Max Altitude: 5545m) Duration: 5 hours

On the 11th day, early in the morning, the Roving Nepal Trek team will reach Kalapatthar to get the most beautiful view of Mount Everest. Along with that you also have views of Amadablam, Cholatse, Pokalde Thamarserku, etc. Finally, we will move towards Lobuche base camp and prepare for the big day.

Day 12 : Climb the Lobuche High Camp (Max altitude: 5600m) Duration: 4 hours

Before we actually reach the summit the day will be based around reaching the Lobuche high camp. It is a 4-hour trek where we will be spending the night. With the altitude being 5600m some trekkers might have issues

Day 13 : Climb the Lobuche summit and trek to Thugla (Max Altitude: 6119m) Duration: 9 hours

One of the toughest days in the overall trek is the 13th day when we reach the Lobuche summit. We will be approaching the mountain from the East side which is an easier path. The experienced guides from Roving Nepal Trek will fix all the required ropes and the journey begins. Finally, we make it to 6119m. You will be covered by mountains all around but sadly we have to return to Thugla.

Day 14 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3440m) Duration: 7 hours

As we complete the successful climb of Mount Lobuche we will have to return now. Leaving Thugla behind we pass through Tengboche, Pangboche, Phungi, Tenga, and later to Namche Bazaar. It is a 7-hour walk, to say the least.

Day 15 : Trek to Lukla from Namche (Max Altitude:2830m) Duration: 6 hours

The journey of the EBC trek with Lobuche Peak slowly comes to an end. We will be trekking from Namche to Lukla. Following the Monjo village, Dudh Koshi river we reach Lukla after 6 hours of trek.

Day 16 : Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel (Max Altitude: 1350m) Duration: 35 minutes

After having an early morning breakfast, we will be taking the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. It is a 35-minute flight with beautiful views. Reaching Kathmandu we will get to the hotel and take the well-deserved rest.

Day 17 : Sightseeing, City Tour and Food Hunt

Before departing for your specific home country we will take a day off to celebrate the achievements. It will be a city tour, a food hunt, and an opportunity to meet with local people. A guide from Roving Nepal Trek will help you achieve it.

Day 18 : Departure to home country

Sadly the day has arrived when we will be signing off from a successful trekking journey. A staff from Roving Nepal Trek will escort you to the airport and help you reach your destination.
