Permits Required for Mardi Himal Trek via Poonhill

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (Max Altitude: 1400m)

The first day will be about arriving in Kathmandu and taking a rest. A highly professional member from Roving Nepal Trek will be available during your arrival. He will guide you through to your hotel and the room.

Day 2 : Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (Max Altitude: 822m) Duration: 8 hours

As you rest the whole day in Kathmandu, the second day is all about traveling to Pokhara by road. It is an 8-hour bus ride with the scenic hills, and rivers flowing along with weather changes. Through a comfortable bus ride, we reach Pokhara by the evening.

Day 3 : Drive to Birethanti and trek to Ulleri (Max Altitude: 1960m) Duration: 6 hours

The trekking team will rest in Pokhara and start the new day with a drive to Birethanti. It will take 1 and a half hours to complete it. The trek journey starts from Birethanti and goes through Modi Khola. This journey will go through ups and downs until you reach Ulleri.

Day 4 : Trek to Ghorepani from Ulleri (Max Altitude: 2880m) Duration: 5 hours

In a beautiful setup of Ulleri, we will move towards Banthani which is covered with rhododendron and oak woodlands. Following the Bhurungdi Khola you will reach Nangge Thanti. Completing the journey -filled with rhodendron forest along with snowcapped mountains we will reach Ghorepani. Trekkers have the opportunity to explore Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, etc.

Day 5 : Trek to Poonhill from Ghorepani and Tadapani (Max Altitude: 3210m) Duration: 6 hours

The journey between Ghorepani and Poonhill is a smaller one. But you will have brilliant mountain views all along the way. After clicking images of mountains like Annapurna, Bahari Shikhar, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, and others we return to Ghorepani and move towards Tadapani. By the end of the day, we will be at Tadapani.

Day 6 : Trek to Landruk from Tadapani (Max Altitude: 2630m) Duration: 6 hours

Today Roving Nepal Trek will mark the journey towards Landruk via Ghandruk. As we enjoy the views from Ghandruk the journey moves from Phedi village ultimately to Landruk village. It is an enthralling journey of 6 hours

Day 7 : Trek to Low Camp from Landruk (Max Altitude: 3050m) Duration: 6 hours

We will be walking through the steep trek through pine and juniper hamlets. As we move forward towards low camp the high peaks are massively visible. Annapurna, Machapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri will be gracing you as you reach Low Camp.

Day 8 : Trek to High Camp from Low Camp (Max Altitude: 3600m) Duration: 5 hours

On the 8th day, we will be traveling from the Low Camp to the High Camp. It will be a day that will pass through Badal Danda. The trails of Badal Danda are challenging. With the trails getting smaller you will be facing Modi Khola and Seti River. Far away will be Pokhara Valley. As we move along the ridge line, we will get to high camp.

Day 9 : Trek to Mardi Base Camp return to High Camp and Return to Badal Danda (Max Altitude: 4500m) Duration: 7 hours

There is less time to sleep today as we have to witness the sunrise. On this day the challenge gets higher as we aim for Mardi Base Camp and return to Badal Danda. It will take 5 hours to reach Base Camp from High Camp. After the stunning mountain views, we will return to Badal Danda.

Day 10 : Trek to Siding from Badal Danda and drive to Pokhara (Max Altitude: 1700m) Duration: 6 hours

With the most beautiful views of the mountains, we will be reaching towards Siding from Badal Danda. The lunch will be taken at Siding and follow through with a shared jeep ride to Pokhara.

Day 11 : Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara (1400m) Duration: 8 hours

Sadly the time has come when we leave Pokhara behind. After an early morning breakfast in Pokhara, we hop into the roadways. 8 hours of traveling will take us to Kathmandu where we will be placed in our rooms.

Day 12 : Departure to home country

With a greater reason and plenty of memories, we will say goodbye. A member from Roving Nepal Trek will drop you off at the airport.
