Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Max Altitude: 1300m)

The first day of the trek is about arriving in Kathmandu. All the trekkers will be received from the international airport and shifted to their hotel rooms. You can either stroll the city or rest due to the tiredness and jetlag. 

Day 2 : Preparation of the trek, exploring the town (Max Altitude: 1300m)

The second day is all about exploring the beauty of Kathmandu Valley. We will be doing some final preparation for the trek from buying the necessary items to packing. However, the remaining part of the day is about visiting the UNESCO World Heritage sites and enjoying the views. 

Day 3 : Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (Max Altitude: 2850m) Duration: 4 hours

After an early morning breakfast, we will take a flight to Lukla which will be 35 minutes long. It is one of the most breathtaking flights in the world. Trekkers will enjoy the views of peaks like Langtang, Gaurishankar, Numbur, etc. Following the landing, we will trek to Phakding for 4 hours and spend the night.

Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (Max altitude: 3440m) Duration: 7 hours

The Roving Nepal Trek team will be moving closer to the Everest region. The journey to Namche Bazaar is comfortable with beautiful Sagarmatha National Park on the way. This route follows through Imja Khola taking us to Namche Bazaar. Trekkers will enjoy the night at Namche Bazaar

Day 5 : Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3440m)

When you perform a trek that goes beyond 2 weeks acclimatization plays a leading role. On the 5th day, we will be staying behind at Namche Bazaar. Trekkers will explore the Namche village and also ascend to Khumjung which is a 3 hours walk. Late in the day, we visit the Edmund Hillary school. 

Day 6 : : Trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar (Max Altitude: 3800m) Duration: 6 hours

The team of Roving Nepal Trek starts the day fairly early. A tough descent will lead us to Phunki Tenga as we pass the Imja Khola. As we complete a trek of 6 hours we will reach Tengobche. At an altitude of 3800m, you will have the option to view Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and other mountains. 

Day 7 : Trek to Pheriche from Tengboche (Max Altitude: 4200m) Duration: 6 hours

As we spent yesterday around the Tengboche monastery the new day awaits with more than 6 hours of trek. Walking through the beautiful rhodendron and pine forest you will feel beauty all around you. Crossing Somare village with some stops on the way we reach Pheriche as we climb a small hill in the end. 

Day 8 : Acclimatization at Pheriche (Max Altitude: 4200m)

As the Roving Nepal Trek team steps foot into the 4000m mark we have to adjust well. The 8th day of the trek is about acclimatization at Pheriche. Trekkers will explore the Khumbu Valley and also reach Nangkartshang. By the end of the day, we will be exploring the local village and its people. 

Day 9 : Trek to Lobuche from Pheriche (Max Altitude: 4900m) Duration: 5 hours

As we spend a full day at Pheriche the feet don't stop. The next stop is Lobuche and we have 5 hours of trek left for the day. As we touch towards the 5000m mark, peaks like Cholatse and Taboche will be visible. As we walk through Thokla Pass and a flat trail we will reach Lobuche by the end of the day

Day 10 : Trek to Gorakshep from Lobuche and hike to EBC ultimately returning to Gorakshep (Max Altitude: 5130m) Duration: 9 hours

The 10th day of the trek is probably one of the toughest days of the trek. Trekkers will have to trek for more than 9 hours and visit places. At first, we will reach Gorakshep after 2 hours of trek. Slowly we will be trekking to EBC and later return to Gorakshep. All of this will take place at an altitude of 5130m.

Day 11 : Trek to Kalapatthar and trek back to Dingboche (Max Altitude: 4410m) Duration: 9 hours

All of the Roving Nepal Trek team will rise before the sun and make our journey towards Kalapatthar. One of the most spectacular views will be available from Kalapatthar. After the early morning walk, we will come back to Dingboche. A total of 9 hours will be the trek. 

Day 12 : Trek to Chhukung village and climb preparation (Max Altitude: 4730m) Duration: 3 hours

As we have accommodated Island Peak climb the journey moves towards Chhukung village. Through the South side of Lhotse, we will reach Chhukung village in 3 hours. Following that we will be climb-ready getting the gears and equipment.

Day 13 : Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (Max Altitude: 5200m) Duration: 4 hours

Finally, the day has arrived when we will be reaching the Island peak base camp. A total of 4 hours needs to be separated to reach the Island peak base camp. It is at an altitude of 5200m so a slow trek is advised. As we reach the base camp we plan for the actual climb on the next day. 

Day 14 : Trek from Base Camp to Island Peak and back to Chukkung (Max Altitude: 6160m) Duration: 10 hours

The maximum altitude for the overall trek will be achieved today. After waking up early we will get all the gears ready and climb to Island Peak. As we complete 3 hours of climb we reach the final spot and the peak. It is at an altitude of 6160m so expect some altitude sickness. The most beautiful views of Makalu, Cholatse, Lhotse, and others will awe you. As we complete this trek we will head back to Chhukung village. The day is tiring as we hike for 10 hours. 

Day 15 : Reserve day

The weather in the mountains is unpredictable. As a result of that, we have a reserve day. If the trekking isn't possible on the 14th day we have a reserve day to make things easier. As we complete the trek on the 14th day, it is a rest day for the Roving Nepal Trek team.

Day 16 : Trek to Tengboche from Chhukung (Max Altitude: 3870m) Duration: 7 hours

Slowly we will be leaving the Island peak region. As we complete the early morning breakfast, the journey moves away from Chhukung village towards Dingboche. After spending 7 hours in total we will be at Tengboche enjoying the company of the locals. 

Day 17 : Trek to Monjo from Tengboche (Max altitude: 2835m) Duration: 7 hours

As the journey descends towards the lower altitude we will mark the 17th day of a trip from Tengboche to Monjo. A good early breakfast will embark on a journey that follows Sagarmatha National Park. Going through the rich greenery and snow-capped mountains we reach Monjo at an altitude of 2835m.

Day 18 : Trek to Lukla from Monjo (Max altitude: 2850m) Duration: 5 hours

Slowly the journey will come to a close as we trek for 5 hours to reach Lukla. It is an easy trek with clear trails beautiful villages and pasture lands. As we reach Lukla we will spend the night celebrating our successful trek.

Day 19 : : Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel (Max Altitude: 1300m) Duration: 35 minutes

Finally, we leave the Everest region with a heavy heart. A flight from Lukla to Kathmandu will mark the end of the trip. It is a 35-minute flight with the most scenic beauty. As we land in Kathmandu, trekkers will rest in their hotels or stroll the city.

Day 20 : Departure to home nation

The final day of the trek marks returning to the home nation. A member from the Roving Nepal Trek team will drop the trekkers to the airport with a promise to meet again.
